This site sets no cookies of its own. What that means, and what third party content may do.

This website does not set any cookies of its own. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device, usually to remember you between visits or to measure how the site is used.
Two things on this site are loaded from Google, and they may set cookies or store data under Google’s own policies rather than ours:
If you follow a link from our journal page to the Uganda Tourism Board, Explore Uganda, or any other external site, that site’s own cookie practices apply once you arrive.
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking them will not stop this site working, though an embedded map may not display.
If we later add analytics or any other cookie-setting tool, we will update this page and add a consent banner before switching it on.
